Margot Mejia is a Queens born and raised neurodivergent actor, playwright, wife, and mother of a cat. Margot never thought she could order her own food let alone speak on a stage. She directed, produced, and co-wrote the lyrics of the musical adaptation of her play "Happy Birthday, David!" that debuted to a sold out audience on The PIT Mainstage. Other play credits include, “Hi Bi” (Dixon Place Theater, HOT QUEER Festival) and “Sleep Fcking Revision” (Theater for the New City, Dream Up Festival). Her feature length screenplay "The Other Girl Next Door" was a second rounder for The Austin Film Festival. She is a recipient of the UCB Diversity scholarship and was a featured actor in UCB Beta Team SCRAPS "A Salute to the Women in the Office". Her sketch "Popular Girls Club" was featured on the front page of Funny or Die Community. She is a proud member of the LatinX Playwrights Circle, alumni of Atlantic Acting School, Stella Adler Studios, Stonestreet Studios, and Primary Stages advanced playwrights workshop. She will graduate from Carnegie Mellon's Dramatic Writing MFA in 2025 and continue her social experiment.
