Matthew Mitchell (Actor)

Matthew WJ Mitchell was born in Downer’s Grove, IL and raised a Napervillain. He now lives in Brooklyn, NY because NYC is more fun than Chicago, his own words.

He launched himself into comedy in June 2015 when he took the Writer’s Goals class at The People’s Improv Theater and was told to try a drop-in improv class to maybe help his writing. He utterly fell in love with improv comedy then. He completed all improv levels at the PIT, along with their sketch comedy summer intensive and has also studied at CIC in Chicago and completed The Conservatory and Grad Revue programs at The Second City NYC.

He lives in Flatbush and wants to get a Brooklyn Dodgers tattoo to commemorate it, alongside his beloved feline, Arthemise.
