Lily Blumkin is an award-winning comedy writer based in Brooklyn, which means she’s queer. She is currently working as the Writers’ Assistant at The Daily Show, where she is also a featured Sketch Player. In April of 2023, she wrote for Roy Wood Jr.'s White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech. When she's not satirizing American politics, Lily performs improv, sketch comedy, and solo character shows around the country. Her comedic style brings silliness to serious topics and absurdity to everyday situations. Lily was a featured act in the New York Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, and NYC Sketchfest. Her writing has been selected by the literary humor magazine Points in Case, as well as the Webby Awards, the Nantucket Film Festival, and the Screencraft Comedy Competition. She was also Millburn Middle School’s Peer Leader of the Year in 2010, and that’s her proudest accomplishment. Lily received training at Tufts University, The Second City, and UCB.
