Lauren is a writer, performer and musician based in NYC. She performs sketch, character and stand-up comedy, musical theater, and pretty much anything else you’ll offer her on stage or screen. She writes and directs things that are generally funny for both live and recorded means of human entertainment and consumption. This is her third or fourth season with Boogie; she is really bad at that sort of thing (the passage of time). Outside of Boogie, you can catch her performing improv monthly at Grove34 in Astoria; please give her a follow at @lauren.gamiel on Instagram if you wish to see what other things she’s doing or if you’re interested in working together.
Lauren studied improvisation and characters at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC after graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music (and a few other things). She then went on to study Acting through the Atlantic Acting School and brought her solo character show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022. She is a classical double-bassist who wonders if she’ll ever have a large enough NYC apartment to comfortably fit her instrument, boyfriend, and German shepherd. She really likes croissants please bring her croissants.
