Lauren Gamiel (Actor)

Lauren is a writer, performer, and director based in NYC. Rumor has it she was in the longest-running show at the Off-Broadway SoHo Playhouse: Lighthouse the Musical. She performs sketch, character and stand-up comedy, musical theater, and pretty much anything else you’ll offer her on stage or screen. Her dream roles include Lord Farquaad from Shrek the Musical, and obviously anything within 50 feet of SNL. Currently, she is directing solo comedy works in NYC, and producing a short film. Lauren was formerly a member of the Magnet Theater sketch house teams and is now excited to be performing in Boogie!

Lauren studied improvisation and characters at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC after graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music (and a few other things). She then went on to study Acting through the Atlantic Acting School and brought her solo character show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022. She is a classical double-bassist who wonders if she’ll ever have a large enough NYC apartment to comfortably fit her instrument, boyfriend, and German shepherd.
